Pat Duffy is the definition of OG. There isn’t much more we can say about Pat that hasn’t already been said, and you know that. But if for some reason, you haven’t heard of Pat because you’ve been living under a rock for the last 30 years or something??!!? we will try to explain his gnarly-ness to you.
Pat has been skating so hard, for so long, that he is without a doubt a pioneer of the sport. Pat is your favorite skateboarder’s favorite skater. Most consider his biggest impact came when the first Plan B videos burst on the scene. His video parts in Questionable (1992), Virtual Reality (1993), and Second Hand Smoke (1994) will blow your mind if you have not seen them yet, and we will go so far as to say as they would hold up to any skate video that would come out today.
Duffy was ahead of his time, and his abilities on a skateboard have inspired thousands upon thousands of skaters to elevate the sport even further. We shudder to think what the world would be like if we never had Pat! Thankfully we don’t have to worry about that because Pat is still shredding today!! Travelling around the world to participate in contests, and sometimes just to cheer on his friends, he can be seen daily ripping up the streets, parks, and everywhere in between. His contribution to the sport was officially recognized this year (2022) when he was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
